Big Date For Guys
guys the big dates here. If you're about to meet someone for the first
time there are certain things you can talk about and there are things
you should never talk about. So to give you a heads up here are some do's
and don'ts when you meet her for the first time.
Choose The Right Venue
The first thing to remember is that when you go
out with her for the first time you want to be able to talk to her so
that you can get to know each other. That means rock concerts, movies,
discos and clubs are out the window.
Try to take her on an activity that she's never
done before to make it exciting. Don't take her to an expensive restaurant
because she will become up tight and apprehensive in such an environment
(especially if she's not used to it, and so will you.) when you want her
to be relaxed enough to be herself. In this way you can get to see the
Always Use Her Name
It's important to remember her name and for god's
sake don't call her by any of your ex girlfriend names. Women love to
hear their own names, it shows them that you are interested in them and
that you've been paying enough attention to remember it. If you bump into
friends introduce her straight away.
Never Ask A Negative Question
Don't ask closed questions where her response
can only be yes or no. This is not the way to get a good conversation
going. Use open ended questions that require a longer response. When people
say yes or no, you get the impression that they don't want to talk to
you and generally don't want to be there. So will they, if you do the
same, so try not to.
First Mover Advantage
Women love a confident man. It makes them feel
secure and they like a man who always gets what he wants. When you pick
her up (you are picking her up aren't you?) tell her she looks beautiful
and give her a kiss on the cheek. This will show her your intentions to
be a lover and not a friend who comes around for coffee (it's not a good
sign if she pulls away whilst you do this).
It's A Date, Not An Interview
You're supposed to be having fun together, not
interrogating each other with 40 questions. You can leave that one up
to your parents if it ever gets that far. Try to talk about things that
your interested in or what you do to have fun. Try to achieve a common
ground. Don't talk about work or mundane things like that (BORING!).
Don't Discuss Ex-lovers Or Past Relationships
Do not talk about your past girlfriends and don't
let her talk about her past boyfriends. If this happens she'll start reminiscing
and start to compare you to the guy she used to be in love with. Worst
case scenario she could start thinking about the things she used to like
about him and you will quickly drift away from her. If she realises she's
not over her ex, you're sunk. NEXT!
Don't Try To Have Sex On Your First
For gods sake don't try to have sex with her on
the first date. Let her jump you if she wants. If she does, don't reject
her. If it's the other way around she'll be screaming rape in no time
and your dream girl could be gone forever. If you're dating, you'll see
her again. So be patient, you'll get what you want eventually if she's
really interested in you. And if you're really interested in her you'll
be prepared to do this.
Things to take with you on that first date
Men don't carry handbags so its a little more
difficult to suggest things to take with you. But here we go anyway....
You never know if she's going to turn into a complete
psycho or if you may have to protect yourself and your date.
Always handy to have one of these incase you need
to call the emergency services. Keep 911 preprogrammed and perhaps poison
control (who knows, we're covering every eventuality here.)
You don't want to seem presumptuous but if she really likes you, she may
jump you at the door as you leave her home. If you should be lucky enough
for this to happen, you'll be glad you took them with you. Avoid STD's
and unwanted pregnancy's.
Breath Mints / Mini bottle of mouthwash
Nobody likes to kiss a smelly mouth, it's a serious
turn off that spoils an otherwise perfect moment. After dinner go to the
toilet and take a quick swig of your mouthwash to freshen up. (Don't forget
to spit it out again and don't swallow it or bad things are going to happen.)
